We have many visitors from USA, Canada, Europe, including the UK and Germany, and some from Scandinavia who until now have not been really aware of the superb destinations available in this exclusive corner of East Africa. With very few exceptions all enjoy the wonderful flora and fauna the scenic experience, coupled with the variety of wild animals and not forgetting the smiling and sociable people who love to talk, with their chattering children, curious at every stranger.

Uganda is a former British Protectorate and so English is widely spoken. It is the business language as well, and all staff at Churchill's, including of course, the guides are fluent, and able to discuss all matters likely to be asked about the Safari and matters in general. We also have guides who arw fluent in German. Hotels and safari camp sites all have English speaking staff. The local dialect of Luganda is also used and Swahili where necessary.

The Euro, GB Pounds, US dollars, or any hard currency may be exchanged in the many Forex Bureaux in Kampala. The use of credit cards is limited to Kampala, and it is best to carry local currency -the Ugandan shilling- when traveling. Churchill accepts payment for additional services in any hard currency , but the initial Safari deposit and balance may be paid by bank transfer to our Ugandan account.
